Toxin Binders

Effective toxin binders prevent mycotoxin absorption into the animal. Our toxin binders are free from impurities and odours and therefore highly effective.

They can be supplied in any required form of packaging.

Betaine

  • Appearance: White crystals or crystalline powder
  • Colour: White
  • Assay: ≥ 98.0 % (NT)
  • Loss on drying: 1.0 % max
  • Residue on ignition: 0.2 % max
  • Heavy metals: 10 ppm max
  • Arsenic: 1 ppm max
  • Total plate count: 1,000 cfu/g max
  • Escherichia coli: Negative
  • Mold and yeast: 100 cfu/g max
  • Coliform bacteria: 100 cfu/g max
  • Salmonella: Negative

2-Phenoxyethanol

  • Appearance: clear liquid
  • Colour APHA: ≤ 30
  • Content: ≥ 99 %
  • PH: 5.5 – 7.0
  • Moisture: ≤ 0.2

Ronidazole

  • Appearance: white to yellowish-brown powder, odourless or almost odourless
  • Solubility: slightly soluble in water, in chloroform and in ethanol (96 %), very slightly soluble in ether
  • IR spectrum: concordant with the reference spectrum
  • UV spectrum: absorbance at max. 270 nm about 0.64
  • Melting point: about 167°C
  • Colour of solution: a 0.5 % w/v solution in methanol is not more intensely coloured than reference solution Y6
  • TLC: (1-methyl-5-nitroimidazol-2-yl)methanol – NMT 0.5 %
  • Water: NMT 0.5 % w/w
  • Sulphated ash: NMT 0.1 %
  • Assay (Titration): 98.5 – 101.0 % on anhydrous substance
